Quinta Do Monte: The Spaces
In true farms there are always unavoidable spaces, such as the stables, the vegetable gardens and the huge kitchens with a large wood oven, where stories are told and days are lived, intense and tasty.
But at Quinta do Monte, where the smell of the sea mixes with the genuine flavors of the mountains, we went a little further and added a huge ballroom, a bar and buffet room, as well as spacious terraces overlooking the dams and for the extensive lawns. Of course, there is also the water-wheel, the chicken coops, the hayloft and the stables, as well as the orchards, the vegetable gardens and the lofty chapel with its delightful view of the sunset. Quinta do Monte – Algarve, however, would not be complete without its sunny swimming pool, the children’s playground, the large parking lot and the leafy gardens, or without the pedestrian path from where you can go contemplating the various animal species. and vegetables typical of the Algarve.
This event farm, as it is very close to the beaches of Altura and Monte Gordo, also has the characteristic charisma of the Algarve coast, which inspires those who stay overnight with the undeniable feeling of being on vacation.
Quinta do Monte: productions and animals
Like any Quinta that fulfills the requirements of such a concept, Quinta do Monte teems with agricultural activity and animation only possible with the coexistence of many animals.
Among the picking of grapes, carobs and seasonal fruits, there are chicken coops worthy of a reality show, mares that alternate between the calm of the pastures and walks to the beach, stubborn cats and haughty geese.
In the middle of the crops, between plantations and harvests, flocks of wild ducks arrive that after weeks say goodbye and leave; there are hares that come to snack without permission; and two dogs, Kenny and Cookie, playing wildly under the watchful eye of Kiko the parrot.
There are also peacocks and ducks, broad beans and arbutus; there are constant stories, between plans and dreams.
In a lived farm life is like this…
